School Admissions (including Reception and In-Years Admissions)

Hillshott Infant School is two form entry (2 classes of 30 children) covering the Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1. Hertfordshire County Council coordinate admissions to our school (including appeals). Please visit the HCC website for details of how to apply for a place in our school;

Nursery Admissions

We (the school) manage our own Nursery admissions, for children who turn 4 in the following academic year. As a school-based nursery, opening times match our school day (8.30am to 3.10pm Monday to Friday term time only) and we don't offer additional wrap-around hours. We offer both;

• 15hrs sessions (either mornings 8.30 to 11.30am or afternoons 12.10 to 3.10pm)
• 30hrs session (8.30am to 2.30pm) with the option to buy-in additional hours up to 3.10pm.

September 2026 admissions are currently paused while we process applications made 'on-time' (before the 02.03.26 deadline)

• Families who applied on-time will receive an offer on 16.03.26 and will have until 20.04.26 to respond
• Other families can still submit an application, however you won't receive an offer until after 21.04.26.
