  • Our start time is 8.40 and we finish at 3.10
  • Everyday you will take your reading book home to read to a grown up. It will be changed on Mondays and you can choose a library book on Thursdays.
  • Homework is given out on a Friday and is due on the following Wednesday.
  • Spellings are given out on a Friday too but don't have to be returned until Thursday to give you time to learn. They will be tested on Friday.
  • Kestrels have PE every Monday and Wednesday

This half term our topic is 'Dinosaurs'. We will be learning about Fossils and how paleontologists find, record, observe and date these to find out how we know about the dinosaurs. We will be using maps and globes to revise our knowledge of the continents to plot where dinosaur fossils have been found in the world. We will also use timelines of the dinosaur period to discover how the animals, landscapes and climates changed during this time. In English we will use a range of fiction texts to inspire letter writing, report writing and some non fiction texts to research all about dinosaurs.

The first day back will be World Earth Day and we will celebrate by spending the day designing, making and evaluating a fashion item made from recycled materials. Please can parents provide a bag of junk modelling resources for their child and ensure that these have not come into contact with any milk or egg products. We will also complete our sponsored litter pick the first day back as part of this learning.

See our medium term plan above for more information about our learning!
