As a Herts County Council maintained school we follow the HCC policy for pupil attendance - this can be found below.
We believe that children learn best when they attend school. Our aim is to ensure that all pupils take full advantage of the education opportunities available to them and we strive to raise standards by promoting regular attendance and punctuality. Working in partnership with families and our Local Authority Attendance Officer we aim to keep whole school attendance above 96%.
The school office team are responsible for the day to day management of pupil attendance. Additionally our School Business Manager is the Attendance Champion SLT Member.
Families are responsible for reporting absences either via a phone call to the school office 01462 670398 (an answer phone is available out of hours) or via an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Families should only request term time absence in exceptional circumstances, in advance and in writing. Please use the 'Term Time Absence Request' form found below and email it to email@example.com for consideration.
Paper copies of the form are also available from the School Office.
